A live paella station your guests will talk about long after the speeches. Cooked over fire at your venue, anywhere in South Australia.
Don Fuego brings authentic Spanish paella to weddings across Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills, the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and the Fleurieu Peninsula. Our chef cooks in big traditional pans over open flame in front of your guests, so the food is fresh, generous and part of the entertainment.
Paella only. One or two paellas, served with bowls and cutlery. Paella + tapas. Patatas bravas and beef croquettes to start while the photos are happening. The full spread. Tapas, paella and warm churros with Nutella for dessert. Our full menu has the details, and pricing is quoted per head based on your numbers and the day of the week.
Paella also works as a late-night option after a formal dinner, or as the main meal at a relaxed reception or the day-after recovery lunch.
We arrive about 90 minutes before service, set up the fire station somewhere your guests can see it, cook, serve and pack down. All we need is a flat spot with good ventilation, ideally outdoors or under a marquee. See areas we cover for travel details.
“We had Don Fuego cater our medical student convention for over 300 people with their chicken and chorizo and vegetarian paellas, and they were honestly one of the highlights of the event.”
“I had the pleasure of trying their paella, patatas bravas and churros. The paella was easily one of the best I've had in Adelaide.”
“It was the perfect meal for everyone to enjoy while standing around and chatting, without being messy! The live cooking performance was definitely a highlight.”
FAQ
Yes. Most of our weddings serve paella as the main course, often with tapas to start and churros for dessert. Guests are served straight from the pans, buffet-style, or we can plate up for a seated meal.
That is where we shine. We are fully self-contained with our own burners and gas, so we can cook at wineries, farms, backyards and halls anywhere in Greater Adelaide, the Hills, Barossa, McLaren Vale and the Fleurieu. If the venue has no power we bring a generator.
Each paella is cooked in its own pan, so halal, vegan and gluten-free guests are looked after without cross-contact. Tell us the numbers and we plan the pans around them.
